What types of massage are available?

We offer therapuetic, non-sexual massages, as well as relaxation massages.  Please see our services menu for complete descriptions.

I have never had a massage before.  What can I expect?

On your first visit, you will be asked to fill out a form with your medical information. This is important to your therapist so she can determine which massage will be right for you.  It is important to be very honest and bring along a list of your current medications.  Your therapist will talk to you and might ask you questions based on your responses on the form.  Again, please be honest.  This information is confidential and will not be shared outside of this office.

You will then be led into the treatment room and left to undress in privacy.  Once you are on the massage table, underneath the sheets, your therapist will enter the room and begin the massage.  At no time will you ever be completely exposed or made to feel uncomfortable.  It is important to comminucate with your therapist regarding the massage pressure (too hard, too light, etc) and if you feel uncomfortable in any way.  At the end of the massage, you will be left in privacy to get dressed.  After the massage, it is very important to drink plenty of fluids (water is best) to help rid your body of toxins.  You might be a bit sore the following day, especially if you did not intake enough fluids.  This is normal.  If you have any questions, please call the office.

I have heard there are sexual massages.  Do you perform them?

No.  Our therapists worked very hard to obtain their licenses and National Certifications and are professional Massage Therapists.  This office only practices non-sexual, therapeutic massages.  If a therapist feels that he/she is be threatened in any way, you will be asked to leave immediately and will pay the full amount for the massage session, regardless if the treatment ended early.

I forgot about my appointment.  What do I do?

Our office makes every attempt to call you 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.  This is a courtesy reminder.  If you are a no-call/no-show client, you will be billedfor the full rate ffor the missed session.  We have found, unfortunately, that this has become necessary due to the frequent amount of no-shows we have experienced.  After the fee  is paid, we will be glad to schedule another appointment for you.  We also ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  If you do not notify us within 24 hours, you may be subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
